Terms

The terms for joining CTFO

Short and in plain words. By applying you agree to these. Last updated 1 October 2026.

What CTFO is

A clan, not a service

CTFO is a Rust clan run by Natchland Studios for people who want to play for fun. Being in it is free. It isn't connected to Facepunch Studios, who make Rust, or to Steam or Discord.

Applying doesn't guarantee a place. We decide who joins. We don't have to give a reason.

What you agree to

Your side

  • You'll follow the rules, rule one most of all
  • What you tell us when you apply is true
  • You're applying with your own real Steam and Discord accounts, not a throwaway or a bought one
  • Your Steam profile and game details stay public while you're in CTFO
  • You won't cheat, use scripts or break the rules of Rust, Steam or Discord
  • The friends you add when you apply are people you actually know. If one of you is banned for breaking the rules, everyone linked that way is banned too, so only add people you'd vouch for
Removals and bans

When someone has to go

We can remove anyone from CTFO at any time, from the clan, our Discord and our servers.

If your Steam profile goes private, you've got 3 days to make it public again before you're removed.

If someone's banned for breaking the rules, every account linked to them through the people named when applying is banned too. That's how we stop one group keeping a way back in, so only name people you trust.

Everything else

The small print

Your data is handled as the privacy policy says.

Rust is a game where bases get raided and loot gets lost. CTFO can't promise anything about what happens in game. Nothing lost in game is ever owed back.

These terms can change. The date at the top shows when they last did. Changes that matter get announced in the Discord first.
